Carousel 1982
Memories
In this show I played the role of Carrie Pipperidge. At one point Jigger (Michael Campbell) was suppose to throw me over his shoulder. I worried about this all through the first half of the show. At the time, Lou Ball, worked for the local paper and reviewed all of the shows. Michael had mentioned to him the "fireman's toss" anxiety. The night that Lou was in the audience, right as Michael threw me over his shoulder, Lou yelled out "YEH!" - Doreen Cohn
In this show I played the role of Policeman, and Understudy for Billy Bigelow. There are so many...My dance partner was Susan Klein...who has been my loving wife now for 29 years! I also remember my biggest moment in theater...when the lead could not make dress rehearsal and I got to sing his full part with a full orchestra. When we got to the greatest musical piece in history, Soliloquy, Peter [Harvey] said "Let's skip this to save time". I said "Not on your life"...he smiled, raised his baton...and the rest is history. But I think about it every now and then...good thoughts! - Bob Richardson
